RouteCosted

Affiliate disclosure

RouteCosted is funded two ways. Both are disclosed here in full.

1. Amazon Associates (supplies)

As an Amazon Associate, RouteCosted earns from qualifying purchases. When you click a "Check price" button or a supply link on this site and then buy something on Amazon, we may receive a commission from Amazon. You pay the same price either way.

2. Moving-provider referrals (quote matching)

We may be compensated by moving providers for referrals. When you submit our quote form and consent to being matched, your request may be shared with relevant moving providers, and those providers may pay us for the introduction. This never changes the price a provider quotes you, and your request is only shared because you explicitly checked the consent box — see the privacy policy for the data details.

What this funds

Compensation pays for maintaining the route cost model, the calculator, and the free route pages. There are no sponsored placements, no pay-to-rank for providers, and no manufacturer or carrier relationships that touch editorial output.

What this never changes

Cost bands are computed from the documented model before any affiliate link or provider is attached. A mode with a worse band keeps its worse band no matter who pays us; a provider cannot buy a better number.

How links are marked

Affiliate product links route through /go/ on this domain and carry rel="nofollow sponsored". Every page containing them displays a disclosure notice above the first link, per FTC guidance (16 CFR Part 255). Quote-form pages disclose provider compensation in the consent language itself.
